Dreams Can Come True
Can dreams really come true? Well, for one of our own players, yes it did.
Dave Park (U9 Jaguars Coach and Vulcans Treasurer) headed over to the Etihad with his son, Olly, to watch the Champions League match between Manchester City and Inter Milan.
After arriving at the Etihad early, Olly asks:
“Dad can we go and see the team arrive, as we’ve never done it before?”
“No Problem,” said Parky.
While waiting outside the Colin Bell stand for the teams to arrive. A lady from the City match day team staff, approached them both and asked: –
“Do you want a free raffle ticket to become a mascot and walk out with the team?”.
“Yes Please” added Olly.
Little did Olly know but getting that raffle ticket would make his dreams come true, as he ended up winning the raffle.
Prior to walking out with the players, he was able to meet the Blue Moons duo of Moonchester and Moonbeam, he was even able to get a picture with them.
Olly (watched by a proud Dad) was able to walk out with the City player of Ilkay Gundogan in a moment he will never forget.
Although the match ended 0-0, Olly didn’t mind as for him an unforgettable moment occurred all because he just wanted to see the players before they went into the stadium.
