Vulcans Flying High for 40 Years
In 1980 Geoff Meadowcroft and Eddie Clarke from Reddish, Stockport had a vision to form a junior football club.
Our founders both worked at the British Aerospace factory in Woodford, so they decided to name the club after the world famous cold war bomber called the Avro Vulcan.
Vulcan meaning ‘The God of Fire”, which is a very apt name for a nuclear bomber.
Over 40 years, Reddish Vulcans have become renowned throughout the junior football world for playing attractive and attacking football.
Our football is about fun and enjoyment whilst learning the skills to win all those trophies at the end of the season.
We are very proud to be celebrating our 40th Anniversary in 2020.
Here’s to the next 40 years.
